When ChatGPT appeared at the end of 2022, the question at Lemmid was not whether this was serious tooling, but where it fitted in the platform. By May 2023, mere months later, the first AI-generated code was running in production: an image-processing component of the Lemmid Manager, rewritten with GPT-4 into robust Debian GNU/Linux tooling. Understand first, build second

That same autumn Lemmid taught a mixed group how to work with it: not a text vending machine but an exchange with a digital assistant, your own hand staying visible (October 2023). When 'vibe coding' took the world by storm, Lemmid explored its power and its dangers in experiments of its own: those who steer, test and refine learn faster; and to keep learning and renewing is what makes Lemmid (April 2025).

Getting in lane for the agentic web

In July 2025 Lemmid wrote down where this is heading: a web where machines talk to machines on people's behalf. Sites need to speak the language of computers for that: semantic structure, schema.org, machine-readable formats. That piece (July 2025) has been the guideline since: think agentic first, then build.

From insight to product

By early 2026 it was running in production for customers: websites with an auto pilot, keeping themselves current with scheduling, feeds and AI that summarises, translates and rearranges (January 2026). March brought an experiment that went further still: an autonomous observer publishing on its own, every day (March 2026). And today an agent reads the journals every night and keeps well over thirteen thousand pages current; see that showcase.

Own machines, own models

All of this runs on Lemmid's own machines: several of them, purpose-configured with Debian GNU/Linux, running its own language models on powerful hardware of its own. A deliberate choice: content never leaves those machines, costs stay predictable, and Lemmid understands every layer of the stack itself. No rented room in someone else's cloud, but craftsmanship down to the metal.

The pattern has been the same throughout: try first, understand, and only then put it in the product. That is how agentic automation grows at Lemmid, not as a layer on top but as a building block among the others.
